Why does the centre need donations?
In order to provide its services to the community, the Centre receives welcome financial assistance and help in kind from its sponsors. However, we always need additional funds which have to be raised from various fundraising activities as well as from private donations and gifts.
If you can manage a contribution, however small, towards our activities, you can be sure that it will be used in a cost-effective way towards providing valued services for local people.

Volunteer Car Scheme (Newbury) – Helping residents who can’t use public transport reach essential medical appointments.
Handybus Service (Newbury & Thatcham) – Providing accessible transport for people with limited mobility, ensuring they can attend day centres, leisure activities, and shops.
Suicide Prevention – Delivering Suicide First Aid training and awareness in collaboration with the West Berkshire Suicide Prevention Group.
Supporting the Voluntary Sector – Acting as the local Council for Voluntary Service, offering guidance, training, and resources to charities and community groups.There are lots of ways your team can get involved and help raise funds, such as:

VCWB take to the skies
We’re taking to the skies (and jumping out of a plane!) on 13 May 2026 to raise funds for Volunteer Centre West Berkshire , and we want you to be part of it.

Volunteer Centre West Berkshire are now a Good Cause on Easyfundraising.
