Adult Helpers
Could you help girls grow in confidence, have adventures and learn new skills? Volunteer Adult Helpers are needed to support with Girlguiding activities in the Compton area. You don’t need any experience in Guiding – just enthusiasm and a desire to have fun!
Whether you can offer help for an evening every two weeks or would like to support every week, any level of help is welcome. There will be the opportunity to take an active role in planning and delivering activities, as well as working towards a leadership qualification. Volunteers are required on Monday evenings.

Volunteer Riding Assistant
An organisation in Lambourn provides horse riding lessons to people with physical and learning disabilities. Volunteers are required to support the sessions, which run daytime weekdays (you can commit to as little or as much as you like, but most volunteers come for one session weekly).
Volunteers help prepare the horses, lead or walk alongside horses during the sessions and assist riders to mount/dismount. No previous experience is necessary – full training and support will be provided. The role would suit personable, fun volunteers.

Day Centre Volunteer
A day centre in Calcot is looking for friendly, caring volunteers to support adults with a range of physical, neurological and cognitive needs. As a volunteer, you could help support social interaction and activities such as arts and crafts, music, singing, gentle exercise, games, quizzes, reminiscence sessions, celebration days, gardening, outings and other wellbeing focused experiences.
Whether you have a skill to share or simply enjoy being with people, your support could help make each day more enjoyable and meaningful for those attending. Time commitment can be a morning or afternoon a week, on a weekday.

Patient Information Room Volunteers
This is an opportunity to join a dedicated team of trained volunteers who enjoy helping people to find out the right information about medical conditions and other related issues. Following training, you will join a team in the local hospital who are kept busy signposting patients and visitors to accredited information and useful services.
Ideal if you have good communication skills, a friendly nature and can show a natural empathy to people from time to time who might be distressed, anxious or worried. Good basic IT skills will be required, but training in specific systems will be provided. Volunteering takes place in the daytime on weekdays.
Volunteer Business Ambassador
A charity aims to inspire the future workforce and ensure young people are well prepared for the world. Support their mission as a Volunteer Business Ambassador.
In this role, you will support the organisation’s in-school events – there are a wide range to choose from and no minimum commitment. You could support with CV writing practice, interview preparation sessions, mock interview workshops, financial awareness sessions (covering topics such as budgeting and understanding pay slips), careers sessions advising on opportunities available in your sector, judging enterprise competitions or mentoring students. They are looking for enthusiastic volunteers interested in inspiring young people and sharing their work-related experience and knowledge.

Animal and Site Support Volunteer
A local organisation provides a supportive learning environment for girls and young women who may find it difficult to access mainstream education. Their setting includes a range of animals, outdoor spaces, growing areas and facilities which all need regular care.
They are looking for volunteers to help them look after the animals and grounds. The role takes place when the young people are not on site and times are flexible – time commitment is a minimum of two hours a week. The role would suit volunteers who enjoy being outdoors, working with animals, gardening, fixing things and getting stuck in.
