The Volunteer Centre understands that people have many demands on their time and feel unsure about making a regular commitment to volunteering, as well as the emotional investment it may require.

Joining the i flexiteer Time Team provides the perfect opportunity to volunteer by taking part in a one off activity, making a difference and then moving on to another task.

i flexiteers will experience all the rewards of volunteering, knowing that they are adding value to the West Berkshire community, but receiving:

• Certificates for volunteer hours undertaken
• Invitation to an annual celebration
• Monthly flexiteer bulletin with new opportunities
• Text/email alerts
• Invitations to flexiteer coffee club meetings
• flexiteer photo id cards
• Invitations to get involved with online social networking

Once registered as a Time Team member, the Volunteer Centre will keep you informed when local charities, voluntary and community groups tell us they have a requirement for the help of a flexiteer. This will mean that as a flexiteer, you will have the freedom to choose which activities you would like to get involved with – suiting your interests, skills and time available, but the decision to get involved or not is entirely yours.

Caroline ... runs her own business and says “The i flexiteer Time Team is a fantastic idea, because it will enable me to engage with volunteering in a way that doesn’t require me to make a regular commitment that I will be unable to sustain. Now I have registered, I am looking forward to getting involved with opportunities that help others by using my business skills, or perhaps doing something completely different!”

Listed below are just some of the types of flexiteer opportunities that you could get involved with:

• Providing building & property advice
• Help with one off publicity events
• Assistance with local emergencies, such as flooding
• Financial planning for major projects
• Financial controls for new groups

• HR advice
• Developing marketing plans
